Commscope present expanded fibre portfolio

16th February 2016

For the first time, CommScope’s fibre indexing solution combines the advantages of a daisy chain topology in the access network with hardened connectivity. This allows organisations to deploy fibre faster, reduce the amount of cable required by up to 70 percent and eliminate the need for fibre splicing.

The daisy chain topology reduces the amount of cable needed and hardened multi-fibre optical connectors substantially eliminate laborious and costly fibre splicing, thus speeding deployment and reducing overall costs.

CommScope will also share their latest developments in fibre closures, terminals with hardened connectivity and a new range of specialty cables at this year’s event. The FACT Optical Distribution Frame enables faster and easier installation in a high density environment and features smart fibre management. Quareo physical layer management allows instant visibility of unauthorized physical intrusion, activity awareness control, and automatic documentation changes. For customer premises, new floor boxes help to connect customers faster.
