Ethernet Alliance Brings Live Interop to ECOC

The Ethernet Alliance, a global consortium dedicated to the continued success and advancement of Ethernet technologies, is bringing its first-ever live interactive demo to ECOC 2018. Featuring a broad array of Ethernet technologies, the demo represents the whole of the Ethernet landscape, from interconnects, to switches and routers, to test and measurement, and more. The Ethernet Alliance’s ECOC 2018 demo also encompasses diverse solutions from nine member companies, at speeds ranging from 25GbE to 400GbE. ECOC 2018 participants, media, and analysts are invited to experience the Ethernet Alliance demo in expo booth #618 from September 24 – 26, 2019, in Rome, Italy.

InsideViewTM is an optical coherence domain reflectometer (OCDR-1000) designed to obtain space-resolved reflection information (~ 25 um) inside a fiber optical component, such as a Photonics Integrated Circuit (PIC), for diagnosing quality or design issues. It is a low cost alternative to OFDR technology, however, with much higher dynamic range ~ 80 dB to avoid the masking of small reflection peaks by the large reflections typically from the input surface of the optical device.

This blower that has already been sold with a great success all over EUROPE is designed to blow micro cables with diameter from 0.5 to 8.0 mm into ducts from 5 to 16 mm. The unit is driven by a cordless screwdriver. Split blowing head allows the operator to blow the cables with connectors, which makes the Budget unit more versatile and a perfect solution for building the last mile of FTTH network.

Anritsu Announces World-First PCI Express Test Solution with Multivendor Oscilloscope Support

Anritsu Corporation announces that its Signal Quality Analyzer-R MP1900A series and Compliance Test Solution developed in collaboration with Granite River Labs (GRL) and Teledyne LeCroy can support both PCI Express transmitter and receiver tests using automation software for the MP1900A. It also enables connection of customers’ oscilloscopes with the MP1900A by supporting real-time oscilloscopes from the three main manufacturers, permitting automation of complex receiver tests required for evaluating devices in accordance with the PCI Express standards. Automated testing lightens the workload burden on test engineers by cutting the previous 10 hours required for manual testing to almost no time.
